Believe it or not this was the song that saved me from my abusive ex. I began listening to more metal after playing this a million times. It brought me into this whole other genre of god like music. I felt new and he didn’t like it. “Metal isn’t for girls” so out of pure spite I listened to every metal vocalist I came across BMTH, FLW, Slipknot, The Warning, and many more. Eventually I came to my senses and left him. Thanks to this song I found my self respect.

Addiction is a disease. Yes we ultimately choose to take that first hit or drink but it doesn't have to be the end. Inpatient rehab saved my life when i couldn't save it myself. I've now been clean almost 9 months and talking to my family again. Try to have some grace and mercy for all of us struggling with addiction. I thank my higher power every day I was given a 2nd chance at life. Now im working towards being an addiction counselor. We can and do recover. Sometimes it takes a few times to stick.

This song is just a masterpiece. It shows the powerlessness of the family. I had the same feeling with my dad. After his heart-surgery he went into a psychoses. We couldn't reach him. We were powerless.. in the end he died :(

Saw them live a couple months ago and people were straight up swinging during this breakdown. The whole crowd front to back was moshing! Amazing show!

I'm a heroin addict, clean since January 19th, 2020 and I have Bi-Polar 1. I have heard this song several times live but never knew the history behind it. I know now why it resonates with me, cause I was the rehab, leave, relapse person for decades. Through Heroin I nearly died, did time in prison and lost nearly all my friends and worst of all my wife. I am fortunate I am here today with my amazing wife still by my side, in school to become a therapist to help fellow addicts like me.

My partner just relapsed on meth after being cleen for three years and im just blasting this song after having a nasty argument while she was high and we broke up because i can't handle her when shes high..ill always be here for me when she needs me but i need to distance myself for the sake of both of our mental health
